WIC RESET CONNECT
is used to reset the counter of the absorber, the waste ink container,
which is found in Canon printers.
Canon printers count the number of head cleanings and pages printed during use. Based on this, they estimate the filling of the waste ink container and it is often not physically full. This is where the Wic Reset Connect programme is a great solution, allowing you to easily reset your printer’s counter and continue using it. Of course, over time the container will physically fill up and need replacing. However, until then, you can save on expensive servicing by just resetting the counter.

To put the printer into service mode, follow these steps:
Turn off your Canon printer
Press and hold the Canon printer’s STOP button
Press and hold the printer’s POWER button
(Wait a moment for the printer to turn on)
Release the STOP key but keep the POWER key pressed
Now (while holding the POWER button) press and release the STOP button 5 timesAfter 5 presses and release STOP, also release the POWER button after a while

NOTE: Printer series:
G, MB, TR, TS, – press “STOP” 5 times
MG – press “STOP” 6 times
MP – press “STOP” 2 times

NOTE: IN ORDER TO CLEAR THE ERROR THE CANON PRINTER:
- It must be put into service mode – without this you will not reset the counter
- Must not have errors other than 1700 or 5B00 – The life of the ink-absorbing pads is coming to an end
- In service mode, the GREEN LED should be on continuously.
Do not buy a key when:
- Your printer is not on the list of supported models
- When the printer enters service mode, the green or orange LED flashes – you must first clear other errors (unprinted document, missing cartridge, unrecognised cartridge, etc.).
- You cannot enter the printer into service mode – entering the printer into “service mode” by pressing the “STOP” button a different number of times than specified in the description will not allow you to perform a reset. This is the programming mode in which performing a reset is not possible.
